TRACEY GRADY COUNSELING
& BODY BASED HEALING
TRACEY GRADY MA, LMHC, RYT-500
I am a mental health counselor trained to work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level.
My practice is grounded in an integrated and holistic mind-body centered approach. I draw on a variety of modalities including psychotherapy, relational therapy, neurobiology, attachment theory, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral techniques. I place great value on the therapist-client relationship as a vehicle for enhancing emotional well being and developing self-understanding and awareness. Although I work with a variety of issues and concerns, I specialize in addiction, trauma, somatic work, and relational conflict.
For those who are interested in incorporating the body into the therapeutic process, my training as a yoga instructor uniquely qualifies me to integrate aspects of this healing tradition into our work together. With an emphasis on breath-work, gentle movement, and increased body awareness yoga can help cultivate greater tolerance for challening emotional states, increased impulse control, and promote a more integrated mind-body connection.
